Unity in the Community

Participants Cleansing:

Maidens & Youths:

Cleanse those who are entering the sacred space with cinnamon besoms affixed with bells for sound cleansing. They’ll gently go over the aura of each person as they come in.

Circle Sealing:

Warriors:

“With the strength of the family, we seal this circle for the inclusion of all.”

Repeat this 3 times as you go around the circle in deosil, ending at your position, then bang your staff 3 times.

Candle lighting:

While each person lights a candle: “We gather as many paths, many voices, and many traditions. Though our beliefs may differ, we stand upon the same Earth, beneath the same sky, and within the same circle. May this circle remind us that our strength is found in our unity.

From one flame, countless lights may be kindled without diminishing the first. May this flame awaken within us in harmony, compassion, respect, and solidarity.

Call The Quarters:

Harmony:

We turn to the East and call upon the Spirit of Harmony. Like a chorus of distinct voices blending into a single song, we welcome the balance of our differences. May our minds be open, our listening be deep, and our actions create a peaceful rhythm together. Harmony, enter our circle and bless our community.

Compassion:

We turn to the South and call upon the Spirit of Compassion. Like a fire that warms a cold room, we welcome the empathy that heals and holds us together. May we feel each other’s joys, lift each other’s burdens, and meet weakness with kindness. Compassion, enter our circle and bless our community.

Respect:

We turn to the West and call upon the Spirit of Respect. Like the steady ocean that honors every shore it touches, we welcome that honor we owe to every person in here. May we see the inherent worth in our neighbors, protect their dignity, and value their unique stories. Respect, enter our circle and bless our community.

Solidarity: We turn to the North and call upon the spirit of Solidarity. Like the ancient mountains that stand immovable against the wind, we welcome the strength of standing shoulder to shoulder. When one of us stumbles, we all reach out; when one succeeds, we all celebrate. Solidarity, enter our circle and bless our community.

Centering the Circle:

The four pillars are set. Bound by Harmony, Warmed by Compassion, Anchored in Respect, and made strong through Solidarity. We stand as one. The circle is cast. The community is united.

Sing In The Deities:

Crones: Sing in Mother Earth & Father Sky, welcoming them to our sacred space.

“Mother I feel You”

Mother, I feel you under my feet,

Mother, I hear your heartbeat

Mother, I feel you under my feet,

Mother, I hear your heartbeat

heya heya heya yah heya heya ho

heya heya heya heya heya ho

Father, I see you when the Eagle flies,

Light of the Spirit going to take us higher.

Father, I see you when the Eagle flies,

Light of the Spirit going to take us higher.

heya heya heya yah heya heya ho

heya heya heya heya heya ho

Mother, I feel you under my feet,

Mother, I hear your heartbeat

Mother, I feel you under my feet,

Mother, I hear your heartbeat
