Sweep Circle -

Cast Circle-

Music Plays: {La petite fille de la mer, by Vangelis}

Everyone is welcomed into Circle with a flower crown.

” Greetings to all. Today, we honor the sacred balance of the Spring

Equinox—a moment of perfect equilibrium where light and shadow meet.

As the sun begins to linger longer in our skies, we begin to stir the magic of

growth and welcome the prosperity that follows winter’s rest. May the

returning light awaken the blooms in our gardens and the joy within our

hearts as we welcome the Goddess of Spring, Ostara.

“Let us call the elements to aid us in our magic”.

Element Opening

East, Spirit of the breeze. We welcome your clarity and inspiration. Just as you

carry the scent of new blossoms, we ask that you carry away the stale

energy of winter. Bring in new spring light that shines brightly on paths of

new beginnings.

Hail and welcome. Place the candle on alter

South, Spirit of the flame. We welcome your heat and your catalytic power. As the

sun climbs higher, we asked you to burn away the old husks of winter -the

doubts, the stillness, and the things that we have outgrown.

Hail and Welcome-Place the candle on alter

West, Spirits of the tide and healing rain. We welcome your fluid grace into our

lives. Just as Spring showers nourish the roots of the earth, we ask that you

nourish our souls. Wash away our old hurts, stagnant feelings, or grief of the

past.

Hail and Welcome, place the candle on alter

North, Spirits of the stone and root. We are grateful for your strength and stillness.

As we move into the season of growth, ground our spirits so we stand firm.

Hail and Welcome, place the candle on alter

Calling Ostara-

”Lady of the East; Goddess of Spring and the dawning Sun.

Ostara, we called upon you as the Earth starts to wake and

day and night stand in perfect balance bringing your blessings to our hearts

and clarity to our paths. Join us in this circle to bless the seeds of our new

intentions and help us grow with peace and prosperity.

Hail and Welcome”.

Spell/Gifts-

Hold a bowl of Hearts and walk around the circle

”Friends, as we stand in the balance of the Equinox, we know that

nothing grows without a seed and a solid place to root. These wooden

hearts I hold are made of the Earth—they are of the trees that breathe for

us. Each one has been carved with an affirmation. I will come around with

these hearts. I ask that you take one, knowing that you are receiving a

'seed of intent’. Carry it around with you to remind you that the winter is

over, for it is time for you to bloom with a blessed affirmation from Ostara”.

A basket of hearts is held up, asking for Ostara’s Blessing.

“Lady Ostara, goddess of the awakened earth. I ask you to bless

these affirmations. Let the message upon these hearts be a message

chosen by you for each person within the sacred circle”.

Music Plays: Missing by Vangelis. Gifts are handed out

Meditation

”I invite you to close your eyes for a moment, press your affirmation to your

own heart and feel your heartbeat sync with the wood. Let the affirmation

carved upon these hearts become a part of your own breath”.

Release Ostara-

your warmth remain in our hearts.

Go if you must stay, as you will. We bid you farewell till the wheel turns again

Hail and Farewell. Please release the elements.

Close Circle-

’The hearts have been given; the magic is shared. May we walk from this

place lifted by air, inspired by fire, healed by water, and grounded by earth

that connects us all. The circle is open, but the bond remains. Go in peace,

and go in power!

Merry meet. Merry part and merry meet again.
